We are producing so much waste per person that its almost unimaginable that how much waste we must be producing as a nation. It is a matter of much concern to us and for generations to come.
There was a beautiful lake in front of my office. There were birds, fishes and there were fishermen. There were trees bordering on the lakeside with leaves colored green and yellow. After a few weeks, they fell some trees, they got some washermen to wash clothes there and threw some litter. Day by day, these activities continued. Now, that beautiful serene lake is just a dirty, black water body with its boundaries littered with all sorts of waste, no trees to give it cover. The water is black and there are hardly any birds. I really felt bad in my heart to see and all this and not be able to take any action. I want to take action. I want to do something about it. I want to do something about promoting hygiene in our nation which is almost obsessed with littering public spaces. I don’t know how or why but I do know that if we want to move to become a first world nation, we will have to get clean!
